It starts when the City government of Montevideo (Intendencia Muncipal de Montevideo - IMM) buys the theatre. It's an important period of functional changes in management and use of the theatre that had it consequences in its physical structure. The municipal activities started to invade the side buildings and this lead to a functional chaos because the physical structure was the same but the functions inside were not. The building was about to collapse.
